National Night Out

While there were several NNO events happening on August 5th in my surrounding neighborhoods in El Cerrito, I was elsewhere playing music for another community's NNO. And it was so interesting to see how different neighborhoods celebrate together. I was hired to play steel drum for a wonderful community in San Jose, at a new park called The Beautiful Way park. Sharky from San Jose Sharks came by, as well as the firefighters and their truck handing out firefighters hats to the kids. And then there was me, playing my steel pan. It was mellow, it was community, it was a nice August evening. This was my first blog post.
